Millenium wheel, the London ferris wheel
The London Eye is London's iconic cantilevered observation wheel, installed in 2000. The 7-year project cost £75 million.
The 135-metre-high wheel features 32 air-conditioned, watertight glass cabins. Each cabin can accommodate up to 25 people.
The wheel turns at 0.9km per hour and completes a full revolution in 30 minutes, not stopping to disembark passengers unless necessary.
