The Portalp Group announces the creation of PORTALP RAILWAY, a new company dedicated to its rail business (platform fronts, guided transport and locksmithing, and rail access control).

Portalp is highlighting its expertise with the renovation of platform screen doors on the Toulouse metro, offering an innovative retrofit that combines modernisation and performance without the need for complete replacement. Carried out at night so as not to disrupt users, this project carried out with Tisséo demonstrates perfect technical and logistical control. A real success for our committed and talented teams!

An important milestone has been reached on line 18 of the Grand Paris Express with the installation of platform doors at Marguerite Perey aerial station. This technical challenge was met thanks to the collaboration between Portalp Railway and Equans. Other stations will follow in 2025, enhancing safety, mobility and comfort for users of the Plateau de Saclay.

In 2024, Portalp Railway and Inéo UTS are celebrating 10 years of partnership in landing doors for urban transport. This partnership combines expertise and innovation to meet the challenges of mobility. After several landmark projects, including line 14 for the Paris Olympics, new installations are planned in Vienna and Paris.

Portalp Railway is celebrating a significant milestone today with the commissioning of our platform screen doors for the extension of Paris Metro Line 14! After several months of testing in real train passage conditions, our platform screen doors are officially operational, contributing to the modernization and expansion of this line.

As part of its platform screen door project development, Portalp's Railway Business Unit has designed its own control system for operating its doors.

The Portalp Railway team has begun installing the platform screen doors on lines 16 and 17 of the Paris metro! The work starts with coring the platforms of the future Saint-Denis-Pleyel terminus station. This first stage is essential for the installation of the platform screen doors, as it involves drilling through the concrete of the platform nosings at the points where the posts will be fixed.

This prototype, designed and assembled in the region of Grenoble, in France, was presented to our customer, Société du Grand Paris, in the presence of the agency’s designer Patrick Jouin.
