A Major Milestone Reached in the Construction of Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express Metro

Successful Technical Challenges
Since work began in October 2024 in Palaiseau, all the platform screen doors at Marguerite Perey station have been installed. This significant step in the project was made possible thanks to the expertise and synergy of the teams from Portalp Railway and Equans.
Marguerite Perey station presented a real challenge as it is the first elevated station on Line 18. With passion and perseverance, the teams successfully overcame this challenge, both in terms of the technical complexity of the product and the specific working conditions on a viaduct.
An Exciting Road Ahead
Our teams are currently working on Moulon Campus station (Orsay – Gif-sur-Yvette) to provide the platform screen doors and safety equipment needed for the new elevated station.
Line 18 is an interconnected line that meets the mobility needs of residents, students, researchers, and employees who live, study, or work nearby. Its development contributes to both safety and well-being.
By 2025, five more stations on Line 18 are expected to be equipped!
Furthermore, as part of the ongoing projects, dedicated training sessions on specific track intervention procedures have been provided to employees to ensure both their safety and the quality of their work.
We extend our gratitude to our teams who remain fully committed to the next key milestones in 2025!
