Line 18 Grand Paris Express

Development of line 18 of the Paris metro

Société du Grand Paris has chosen the Ineo UTS & Portalp consortium to equip and secure the platforms of the future line 18.

Linking Orly airport, the Saclay research cluster, the Massy-Palaiseau TGV station and the Versailles Chantiers station, which offer numerous connections, the future line 18 will contribute to the balanced development of an exceptional area, between controlled urbanization and preservation of a unique natural and agricultural setting.

With 35 km of automatic metro, including 13 km overhead, Line 18 crosses three departments and will be able to accommodate between 150,000 and 200,000 passengers every day. The safety issue is therefore a major one.

As for lines 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express, Portalp will not only design and manufacture the platform fronts, but also install them mechanically.
