A bespoke design
At a height of approximately 1.70 m, half-height PSD offer a different configuration to full-height PSD and require a design tailored to their surroundings.
The absence of a technical beam necessitates a specific mechanical design. The solution is therefore not necessarily a simplified or less expensive alternative to a full-height platform screen door.
A solution that needs to be considered in the context of the standards
The design of a platform screen door must now comply with the regulatory requirements applicable to the rail sector, in particular standard EN 17168.
For a mid-height solution, these requirements may necessitate adapting or reinforcing the initial design. A thorough analysis is therefore required from the earliest stages of the project in order to ensure the installation’s compliance and performance.
