British Airways I360
Located in Brighton on the bay of the English Channel coast, the British Airways i360 tower is the world's tallest aerial tower. At a height of 162 metres, it is surrounded by a circular mobile observation platform that can accommodate up to 200 people. Its 360° panoramic view and on-board catering services have revitalized tourism in the seaside resort of Brighton.
For this project, Portalp Railway installed platform screen doors and integrated door systems adapted to the specific features of the means of transport: low doors with the mechanism in the ground, adapted to the architecture of the observation tower; and on-board doors for the glass platform, adapted to its circular shape.
