Cairo International Airport is located 22 km northeast of the city center in the Heliopolis district.
It is one of Africa's busiest airports and, thanks to its central position in the world, a major hub. The airport has 4 terminals.
The installation of a mini-metro linked the various terminals, parking lots and a shopping mall.
The 2 metros can each accommodate up to 2,000 people per shuttle per hour.
